• Responsibility for conceptual and operational trading in pulp and papers: Customer potential analyses, supplier evaluation, pricing policy, sales planning, logistics and framework agreements
• Budget preparation as well as coordination and communication of all measures necessary to achieve the objectives
• Development of partnerships with strategic suppliers / producers (core task)
• Profitable expansion of the market position in Africa
• Customer acquisition
• Continuous market observation
• Active price negotiations in purchasing, for transport services and with customers (incl. payment conditions)
• Professional advice and offer exemplary service
• Responsibility for results
• Trustful cooperation in the team

Requirements of the candidate

Requirement: Good market and product knowledge in the area of paper, containerboard and pulp in Africa Work experience: 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in paper trading, paper distribution, converting and printing companies or paper mills Existing customer contacts in the relevant market segments and countries Personality characteristics:

•  Drive and hunting instincts
•  Strong commercial skills
•  Independent, structured way of working
•  Confident and skillful appearance
•  Persuasiveness and confidence in closing deals
•  Social competence and open-minded towards other cultures
•  Familiar with travelling in Africa
•  Team spirit and communication skills
•  Integrity

The goal is to develop a strong presence across all product lines

- Responsibility for conceptual and operational trading in pulp and paper: Customer potential analyses, supplier evaluation, pricing policy, sales planning, logistics and framework agreements

- Budget preparation as well as coordination and communication of all measures necessary to achieve the objectives

- Development of partnerships with strategic suppliers / producers

- Customer acquisition

- Continuous market observation

- Active price negotiations with customers incl. terms of payment, logistics solutions and also negotiate transport services

- Professional advice and provide top service to all our business partners
